Airdrie Rural RCMP investigating bear spray and robbery incident

Rocky View County, Alberta – On Oct. 10, 2022, at 2:08 p.m., Airdrie Rural RCMP responded to the New Horizon Mall parking lot for a report of a robbery. A 25-year-old resident of Calgary had arranged on the internet to sell a computer monitor to another person. The male met with three males, one of which bear sprayed him. The three males took the monitor and departed in a white SUV, similar to that of a Nissan Rogue. The male was treated by EMS on scene and did not sustain any other physical injuries.

The three suspects are described as:

Suspect #1

· Male in his early 20’s

· Medium complexion

· 5’10

· Wearing a hooded sweatshirt

Suspect #2

· Male in his early 20’s

· Medium complexion

· Approximately 5’10

· Wearing all black, ripped jeans, hooded sweatshirt and a Gucci belt

· Light, patchy beard

Suspect #3

· Male in his early 20’s

· Medium complexion

· Approximately 5’8

· Wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt with white or light grey sweatpants.
