Rocky Mountain House, Alberta – On October 10, 2022, Rocky Mountain House RCMP received a report of a recent sexual assault of a youth. As a result of an investigation, on Oct. 13, 2022, RCMP arrested 42-year-old Tyler Kanten. Kanten has been charged with Sexual assault and Sexual Interference.
Kanten has been taken before a justice of the peace where he was released on conditions with his next court date set for Nov. 2, 2022, at Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court.
Kanten is a School Teacher in Caroline Alberta.
These offences did not occur at or involve a student at the School.
