Red Deer, Alberta – On Oct. 28, 2022 at approximately 2:15 a.m., a constable with the Red Deer RCMP was supporting an active investigation in the Riverside Meadows neighbourhood when a car collided into the rear of the police vehicle.
Emergency services attended the scene and both the RCMP member and the male driver of the car were transported to the hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles sustained significant damaged as a result of the collision.
The investigation is ongoing and an update will be provided when more information is available.
