Grande Prairie RCMP looking for suspect in person’s crime; “driven to a separate location and was sexually assaulted” – IDENTIFIED

Grande Prairie, Alberta – The male has been identified in a sexual assault investigation that occurred on Oct.19, 2022.

A 57-year-old resident of Debolt has been charged with sexual assault and is scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Jan.30, 2023.

BACKGROUND

Grande Prairie, Alberta – Grande Prairie Special Investigative Unit (SIU) is looking to identify the suspect in a person’s crime that happened in October.

On Oct.19, 2022, it was reported to Grande Prairie RCMP that an individual got into a vehicle with a male in the area of 99 Avenue and Resources Road. The adult victim was driven to a separate location and was sexually assaulted.

The suspect vehicle is described as:

· Red/maroon van

· Possibly a Pontiac Montana

The male suspect is described as:

· Heavy set

· Walks with a cane
