Wood Buffalo RCMP investigating bomb threat at the Jubilee Building in Fort McMurray, Alberta – UPDATED

Wood Buffalo, Alta. – Wood Buffalo RCMP have cleared the scene. There was no evidence of anything unusual found at the scene. A release with additional details is anticipated tomorrow.

BACKGROUND

Wood Buffalo, Alberta – (11:50 a.m.) Wood Buffalo RCMP are currently investigating a bomb threat to the Jubilee Building, located in the 9900 block of Franklin Avenue.

At this time, the Jubilee Building, along with the Provincial Building, are being evacuated. RCMP have set up containment in the area and no traffic will be permitted through.

RCMP are asking people to avoid the area. An update will be sent when more information becomes available.
