Prince Albert Police arrest and charge 15-year-old with Second Degree Homicide

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – UPDATE – On November 28, 2022, investigators with the Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division arrested a 15-year-old male youth from Prince Albert in connection with a homicide that occurred the evening of May 28, 2022 in the 100 Block of River Street West.

The accused is charged with second degree murder and will make his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Tuesday morning (information # 90409847). Due to the age of the accused, his name cannot be released.

This is the second youth charged in connection with the homicide of Barry Pruden. On May 28, 2022 just before 11:30 p.m., Prince Albert Police Service responded to the 100 Block of River Street West for a weapons complaint. On arrival, 47-year-old Barry Pruden was located suffering from serious injuries. Parkland Ambulance transported the man to Victoria Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
