Fort Saskatchewan RCMP make arrests relating to vehicle and catalytic converter thefts

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – On Nov. 30, 2022, the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter and theft of vehicle at a farm equipment dealer in Fort Saskatchewan. This was the second recent theft at the business with the previous one involving the theft of catalytic converters.

On Dec. 1, 2022, officers of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic, Crime Reduction Unit and General Investigation Section set up surveillance at a private Recycling Center in Edmonton and observed the stolen truck arrive at the business. 3 suspects were subsequently arrested. Two catalytic converters, along with a variety of cutting tools were found inside the stolen vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were charged:

Brandin Joey Lee Sinclair (35), a resident of Fort Saskatchewan, with:

· Break and Enter

· Theft of Vehicle

· Possession of stolen property

· Possession of break-in instruments

· Fail to comply with release orders.

Tyson Rodney Sisson (27), a resident of Fort Saskatchewan, with:

· Possession of stolen property over $5000

· Possession of stolen property under $5000

· Possession of break-in instruments.

Mathew Tooke(19), of no fixed address with:

· Break and Enter

· Possession of stolen property over $5000

· Possession of stolen property under $5000

· Possession of break-in instruments.

Tooke and Sisson are scheduled to appear on Jan. 12, 2023 at Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court. Sinclair was remanded into custody and will make his first appearance on Dec. 5, 2022 at Vegreville Provincial Court.
