Kamloops RCMP seek to identify owner of vehicle following armed robbery at Aberdeen Mall

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is turning to the public to help further its investigation into an armed robbery report.

On Nov. 30, 2022, around 3:40 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to the Aberdeen Mall where a theft suspect deployed bear spray after he was approached by an employee. The suspect was described as a man in his 30s with short hair, a small tattoo on his upper cheek below his eye, dressed in a three-quarter length dark jacket.

“As part of the investigation, officers reviewed video surveillance and identified a vehicle of interest,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “We’re asking the public to please have a look at the vehicle — a four-door Honda Civic with damage on the front corner — and contact us if they have seen it recently, suspect they know who it belongs to, or are in fact its owner.”
