Man Arrested in Criminal Harassment investigation, Toronto Investigators concerned there may be other victims

Toronto, Ontario – The Toronto Police Service is advising the public about an arrest made in a Criminal Harassment investigation.

On Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 4:10 p.m., police received a call for a suspicious incident in the Lake Shore Boulevard East and Parliament Street area.

It is reported that:

the victim was approached by the suspect

the suspect showed the victim an obscene image

the suspect then threatened the victim

the suspect fled the scene

On Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 12:50 p.m., police received a call for a suspicious incident in the Queen Street West and University Avenue area.

It is reported that:

the victim was at work and approached the suspect

the victim engaged in conversation with suspect

the suspect showed the victim an obscene image

the suspect then threatened the victim

the suspect fled the scene

On Sunday, December 11, 2022, Rezo Kopaliani, 27, of Toronto was arrested.

On Sunday, December 11, 2022, Rezo Kopaliani, 27, of Toronto was arrested. He was charged with:

two counts of Criminal Harassment

two counts of Uttering Threats

He appeared in court for a Bail Hearing on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 10 a.m., at College Park Court, 444 Yonge Street, Room 507. He was remanded into custody.
