Blackfalds, Alberta – On Dec. 14, 2022, after a short term drug investigation, Blackfalds General Investigations Section (GIS) and general duty, Sylvan Lake GIS, Innisfail GIS, Blackfalds general duty and Red Deer Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant on a residence in Red Deer. As a result of this search warrant, the following was seized:
486 grams of suspected cocaine
$495.00 Canadian currency
Drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking
Chout Van Le (61), a resident of Red Deer, has been charged with:
Break and enter
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
Proceeds of Crime under $5000
After a Judicial Interim release hearing, Le was released on $10,000 promise to pay and $15,000 cash deposit. However, at the time of his arrest he was on parole so was remanded for his parole violation.
