Marystown, Newfoundland and Labrador – A woman is deceased following a fire that occurred at a Grand Bank home last night.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m., Burin Peninsula RCMP received the report of the fire at a residence on Greenwood Avenue and attended the scene. Firefighters with Grand Bank Fire Department battled the blaze and removed an unresponsive woman from inside the home.
The woman was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Fire scene investigators are at the scene today and the investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
