Regina Police charge 39-year-old male with Attempted Murder following assault

Regina, Saskatchewan – A 39 year-old male faces a charge of Attempt Murder after an assault last Thursday.

On the night of Thursday, December 15, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police were dispatched to an injured male who was lying on the 1100 block of Princess Street. Police arrived and located and identified the 35 year-old injured male, who had what appeared to be life-threatening stab wounds. EMS transported the injured male to hospital for life saving surgery.

Investigation into the matter led to a residence on the 1000 block of Princess Street, where a 39 year-old male was arrested.

Thirty-nine year-old Gregory Rynold BELLEGARDE, of Regina, is charged with Attempt Murder [CC 239].

BELLEGARDE made his first appearance on this charge today, Monday, December 19, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
