Athabasca, Alberta – On Dec. 29, 2022, shortly after 12:15 a.m., Athabasca RCMP members were on patrol in the area of Mcnabb Road when they located a vehicle travelling on the roadway with two broken tail lights. RCMP members conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified several males of interest. At that time, one male inside the vehicle was arrested for an outstanding Edmonton Police Service warrant.
Through investigation, the other two males inside the vehicle were arrested for several weapons offences. RCMP members conducted an initial search of the vehicle. During that search, RCMP members located the following:
a flare gun which had been modified to shoot 12 gauge shotgun rounds
a loaded .22 caliber rifle with a prohibited 30 round magazine and silencer
brass knuckles
several machetes, bats, knives, bear spray and fumigation masks.

In addition, RCMP members located approximately 17 grams of suspected methamphetamine, both inside the vehicle and on the occupants.
Travis Faragher (37), a resident of Athabasca, was charged with the multiple offences, including 2 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Alexander White (38), a resident of Athabasca, was charged with multiple offences, including:
Unauthorized possession of a firearm / prohibited weapon (x4)
Possess a weapon contrary to a court order
Possession of a controlled substance
Harley Bone (42), a resident of Edmonton, was arrested on an Edmonton Police Service warrant, however, is facing several new charges, including:
Unauthorized possession of a firearm / prohibited weapon (x2)
Possess a weapon contrary to a court order
All three individual were held in police custody for judicial hearings. Subject to those hearings, Faragher and White were released from custody, with several conditions to abide by. Bone was remanded in custody until the next court appearance of Jan. 03, 2023.
