Fort Saskatchewan RCMP on scene at serious assault on Alberta Highway 831 – CONCLUDED

Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. – RCMP advise that Highway 831 is now passable.

BACKGROUND

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – (9:20 AM) On Jan. 7, 2023, at 8:25 a.m., Fort Saskatchewan RCMP arrived on scene at a serious assault on Highway 831, between Township Road 560 and Highway 29. A male was found on the highway near a vehicle.

Emergency medical services attended the scene and transported that male to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The investigation continues. That portion of Highway 831 will be blocked for an undetermined period of time pending a scene investigation. Motorist are encouraged to find another route through that area.

An update will be sent when further information becomes available.
