Brandon, Manitoba – On January 11, 2023, a member of the Brandon Police Service K9 unit conducted a traffic stop on the Trans-Canada Highway. Police Service Dog Storm was deployed and gave a positive indication for narcotics inside the vehicle.
During the search of the vehicle, police located a hidden compartment, which contained over 700 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine inside several vacuum sealed packages. The estimated street value of the illicit drugs is over $70,000.


A 20-year-old male from Edmonton, Alberta was arrested for Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Crack Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was lodged at the Brandon Police Service and is scheduled to appear in court today.
