Brooks, Alberta – On Jan. 12, 2023, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Brooks RCMP were dispatched to a 911 call of a structure fire. Three people were able to get out of the residence, however once the fire was extinguished, human remains were located inside.
At this time, the cause of the fire is deemed to be non suspicious. The remains, believed to be that of a 62-year-old male, have been sent for an autopsy at the Calgary Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
