Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged a 34-year-old male with voyeurism in connection with an incident where a woman was filmed while showering.

On January 9, 2023 police responded to a report of a disturbance at the YMCA along Mauretania Road. Investigation determined that a male was observed using his cell phone to film underneath a shower stall while an adult female was showering. The subject was confronted by two other males but left the business prior to police arrival. Staff at the YMCA were fully cooperative in assisting police and following further investigation the male was identified and arrested without incident.
Tate Owen Rasmussen, 34, of Fort Macleod, is charged with one count of voyeurism. He was released from custody following a Judicial Interim Release hearing with conditions that he not attend the YMCA or any other swimming pool, playground or recreation centre.
Rasmussen is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 17, 2023.
