Region of Peel, Ontario – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have recovered nearly 200 household appliances and electronics worth more than $350,000 following a commercial theft investigation.
On Saturday, January 7, 2023, police responded to a 9-1-1 call of a theft from a commercial logistics warehouse in Brampton. Suspects were observed loading a truck with several stolen appliances.
Investigators have identified the persons alleged to have committed the theft and executed a search warrant at a Mississauga business, which resulted in the seizure of a loaded prohibited handgun and a quantity of ammunition.
Additionally, investigators seized 176 appliances stolen from three separate warehouses in the Region of Peel worth more than $350,000.

Devon Taylor, a 41-year-old man from Toronto, was charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
Carry concealed Weapon
Possession of Stolen Goods Over $5000
Theft over $5000
Fail to Comply with Release Order
Anderson Ramgoolam, a 42-year-old man from Toronto, was charged with the following offence:
Possession of Stolen Goods Over $5000
The investigation is still ongoing and Investigators believe there are more people involved.
