Three charged, two outstanding in January 2021 Edmonton homicide

Edmonton, Alberta – Three people have been arrested and two others are wanted on Canada-wide warrants in a January 2021 homicide.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6., 2021, police attended a residence in the area of 111 Street and 78 Avenue under suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased man and woman. Neither of the victims were residents of the home.

An autopsy was completed on 29-year-old Deidra Aldridge on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, and an autopsy was completed on 30-year-old Daniel Grandbois on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021. The manner of death in both cases was deemed to be homicide. The causes of death continue to be withheld for investigative reasons.

On Dec. 20, 2022, Joshua Saulteaux, 22, was arrested in Edmonton. On Dec. 24, 2022, RCMP arrested a 17-year-old youth in St. Paul, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act. On Jan. 8, 2023, Martin Dubitski, 39 was arrested in Maskwacis. They are each charged with two counts of first degree murder in relation to these homicides.

Police continue to search for two outstanding suspects, Natalie Morin, 41 and Jerad Wuttunee, 34, who are wanted on Canada-wide warrants for first degree murder.
