Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service has charged a 41-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman in relation to a homicide in north Edmonton earlier this month.
On Thursday, Jan.12, 2023 at 6:44 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the area of 172 Avenue and 102 Street in relation to an assault complaint involving a 41-year-old injured male. Paramedics transported the male to hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Adam Garrant, 41, last week and determined the manner of death is homicide. His cause of death is not being released at this time for investigative reasons.
Earlier today, Eric Tribiger, 41, and Sarah Champion, 39, both of Edmonton, were arrested and charged in relation to Garrant’s death. Tribiger is charged with manslaughter, breach of firearm prohibition, careless storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm (x2). Champion is charged with careless storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm (x2).

Edmonton Homicide Section continues to investigate suspicious death, autopsy completed earlier this week
Edmonton, Alberta – Homicide detectives continue to investigate the suspicious death of a 41-year-old man who died in hospital last week.
On Thursday, Jan.12, 2023 at 6:44 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the area of 172 Avenue and 102 Street in relation to an assault complaint involving a 41-year-old injured male. Paramedics transported the male to hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

An autopsy was completed earlier this week on Adam Garrant, 41, though the cause and manner of death is not being released at this time for investigative reasons. Detectives continue to treat the death as suspicious and encourage anyone with information about the circumstances leading up to Mr. Garrant’s death to contact police.
