Airdrie Rural RCMP on scene at serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 2 – UPDATED

RockyView County, Alta. – RCMP advise that the collision scene at Highway 2 near Carstairs is now clear. The area is very slippery so please travel with caution.

BACKGROUND

Rockyview County, Alberta – (9:41 AM) RCMP are currently on scene at a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 2 in the south bound lanes, south of the Carstairs overpass. At this time, traffic is not moving.

RCMP are asking motorists to avoid the area as the highway will be impassable for some time.
