Winnipeg, Manitoba – On February 2, 2023, at approximately 12:00 a.m., a General Patrol unit was flagged down near Martha/Henry regarding an injured male bleeding on the ground in the first 100 block of Henry Avenue.
Officers located an unresponsive adult male who appeared to be stabbed and administered CPR until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.
General Patrol Units and Auxilary Force Cadets cordoned off the area, and the Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation.
The deceased was identified as 56-year-old Clifford Earl BOS of Winnipeg.
At approximately 4:00 a.m., a suspect was located in the 100 block of Disraeli. He was taken into custody and turned over to the Major Crimes Unit.
A 25-year-old male, Joseph Diamond SANDERSON of Winnipeg, was charged with Second Degree Murder.
He was detained in custody.
This investigation is continuing, but investigators do not anticipate any further arrests.
