Athabasca RCMP make significant drug seizure

Athabasca, Alberta – On Jan. 10, 2023, Athabasca RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Athabasca. During the execution of that warrant, Athabasca RCMP located and seized approximately 38-pounds of illicit cannabis, and 170 cartons of unstamped tobacco products. Athabasca RCMP have arrested and charged a 48-year-old resident of Athabasca with several offences, including:

Following the arrest, the individual was held for a short period before being released from police custody with several conditions. This matter will appear in Athabasca Provincial Court in the coming weeks.
