Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged four youths in connection with the violent assault of a 15-year-old male.

On February 17, 2023 at approximately 10:35 a.m. a 15-year-old male was in the Burger King parking lot along the 1900 block of 3 Avenue South when he was approached by four males – two of them wearing masks. The victim was struck multiple times with a tire jack and repeatedly kicked after he fell to the ground. Following the attack, the victim’s shoes were stolen and the males fled on foot. Staff at the restaurant called 911 and assisted the victim until EMS arrived and transported him to hospital where he was treated for extensive head injuries.
Following further investigation the four subjects were identified and all have been arrested and charged.
The parties involved are known to one another. This was not a random incident.
Two 15-year-old males, a 14-year-old male and 16-year-old male, all of Lethbridge, have been charged with: aggravated assault, disguised with intent, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public and robbery.
The four youths have been released from custody. Their court dates are as follows:
16-year-old – March 8
15-year-old – March 8
15-year-old – March 22
14-year-old – March 22
