Red Deer RCMP make arrests following motor vehicle collision; “Dodge Magnum leaving a car dealership at a high rate of speed”

Red Deer, Alberta – On Feb. 24, 2023, at 03:45 a.m., Red Deer RCMP were conducting patrols of south Red Deer when they observed a Dodge Magnum leaving a car dealership at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was then involved in a collision with another vehicle. Two suspects were seen fleeing the scene. With the assistance of Police Dog Services the two were located and arrested. The driver of the second vehicle received minor injuries.

A 31-year-old male resident of Red Deer, was arrested and held for a judicial interim hearing. He is charged with:

Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Obliterate Vehicle Identification Number

Possession of property obtained by crime

A 39-year-old female resident of Red Deer, was also arrested and released on an appearance notice.
