Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged two 22-year-old males with aggravated assault following a stabbing Sunday afternoon.

On February 26, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., police were at the ENMAX Centre along the 2500 block of Scenic Drive South dealing with an unrelated matter when Security personnel notified the officers there had just been a stabbing. Police secured the scene and the victim was transported to hospital by EMS. A number of witnesses observed the altercation and police obtained cell phone video. The subjects were quickly identified and it was confirmed they had left the building.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital, where he remains in stable condition at this time.
Following further investigation, it was determined the parties involved were known to one another. This was not a random incident.
Later in the evening the subjects turned themselves in to the Blood Tribe Police.
Dylan Jeremy Brave Rock, 22, of the Blood Reserve, is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.
Dalton Mark Old Shoes, 22, of Lethbridge, is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.
Both are currently in custody awaiting Judicial Interim Release Hearings.
