Police went in search of the vehicle, and located a head-on collision on Highway 16 between Range Road 33 and Range Road 34. The 40-year-old male driver of the suspect vehicle, and the 28-year-old female driver of the second vehicle both sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the collision and were transported to hospital. The suspect vehicle was determined to be stolen, and had fled from police during a traffic stop a short time earlier. Intoxication is believed to be a factor. The suspect is in police custody and charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Parkland RCMP are asking the semi-truck driver who initially alerted police to contact Parkland RCMP at 825-220-2000. Parkland RCMP would like to thank the driver for his assistance, and speak with him further about the incident.
