Saskatoon Police make arrest after suspect accused of “reportedly robbing another man of his taxi cab”

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – A man was arrested Saturday night after reportedly robbing another man of his taxi cab.

At approximately 7:00 p.m., March 4, 2023, Patrol officers were dispatched to Avenue B South and 21st Street West where a taxi driver stated that he was assaulted and robbed of his cab. Upon arrival, officers located a 24-year-old man suffering from minor injuries after reportedly being stabbed. He was transported by ambulance to hospital for treatment.

The suspect was located and apprehended in the 200 block of Avenue I South. No weapon was located during the arrest.

A 22-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with Robbery, Dangerous Driving and Evade Police.
