Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect following a violent assault in west Edmonton.
On Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, at approximately 3:07 p.m., a 50-year-old male was exiting a bus that was stopped westbound on 87 Avenue west of 156 Street. As he was exiting the bus the male suspect followed him off, stabbing him in the back prior to deploying bear spray into his face. The suspect then fled in a northwest direction, through the parking lot of the shopping complex.
The injured male was treated and transported to hospital by paramedics with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was described as having a thin build, wearing a black jacket with a hood, black pants, black shoes and a green bandanna with white designs that covered his face.
