Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, Alta. – Alberta RCMP Major Crimes advise that Vincent Campiou was located and arrested without incident. RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.
Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, Alberta – Alberta RCMP Major Crimes are currently investigating a shooting which resulted in the death of 59-year-old Patricia Campiou, a resident of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. As a result of the investigation, RCMP have charged Vincent Nathan Campiou (37), of no fixed address, with Second-Degree-Murder. There is currently a warrant for Campiou’s arrest and RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating him.
Vincent Campiou is described as:
6’0 and 165 pounds
Black hair and brown eyes

Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, Alberta – On March 12, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Valleyview RCMP received a report of a shooting that occurred at a residence on Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. Tragically, despite the best efforts of first responders, a 59-year-old resident of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation died as a result of her injuries.
Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
Although early in the investigation, RCMP believe that this was an isolated incident.
