Edmonton Police seek public’s assistance to identify male in shooting

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect following a shooting in north Edmonton.

On Sunday, Mar. 12, 2023, at approximately 12:25 a.m., a lone male suspect entered a pizza restaurant in the area of 133 Street and 114 Avenue carrying a firearm. The suspect shot a 55-year-old male employee then fled the location. EMS attended and transported the injured male to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as wearing a black bulky coat with a hooded sweater underneath, black pants/jeans that are tight around the calf, black shoes or boots and a multi-coloured face covering.

Detectives are hopeful that dash camera footage from the area may assist with their investigation and are encouraging anyone that was driving in the area of 133 Street and 114 Avenue on Sunday Mar. 12, 2023, between the hours of 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 a.m., to please contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Investigators are also asking for anyone with residential CCTV from that area over that time frame to contact police.
