Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged a 38-year-old woman and 41-year-old man in connection with a shooting at a westside home.
On March 20, 2023 at approximately 6:26 a.m. police responded to a 911 call reporting a male had been assaulted at a home along Rutgers Crescent West. The victim was subsequently transported to hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Investigation determined the 54-year-old victim had confronted his ex-girlfriend along with her male associate, inside his home. Following a brief verbal exchange the victim was shot by the female and physically assaulted by the male, before the pair fled in his truck. The truck was subsequently recovered a short distance away. Later in the afternoon the two subjects were arrested without incident and a firearm was seized. The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.
Kristina Hatcher, 38, of Lethbridge, is charged with: aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault – choking, theft of a vehicle, discharging a firearm with intent to injure, use of a firearm while committing an offence, careless use/storage of a firearm, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, mischief, robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and uttering threats.
Robert Duane Vincent, 41, of Claresholm, is charged with: aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assaulting – choking, theft of a vehicle, discharge a firearm with intent to injure, use of a firearm while committing an offence, careless use/storage of a firearm, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowingly possessing an unauthorized firearm, mischief, possession of a firearm contrary to an order, robbery with a firearm and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
Hatcher and Vincent were remanded in custody. Hatcher is scheduled to appear in court on March 22 and Vincent on March 28.

On March 20, 2023 at approximately 6:26 a.m. police responded to a 911 call reporting a male had been assaulted at a home along Rutgers Crescent West. The victim was subsequently transported to hospital for treatment of a gun shot wound.
Further investigation determined the victim had confronted a female, who is known to him, along with an unknown male, inside his home. Following a brief verbal exchange the female shot him and the male proceeded to physically assault him before the pair left in the victim’s truck. The truck was subsequently recovered a short distance away.
Later in the afternoon a 38-year-old woman and 41-year-old man were located by police and arrested without incident. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.
