Edson, Alberta – On March 18, 2023, at 5:00 a.m., the Edson RCMP and Edson Fire Department were called to a vehicle fire at the Edson Civic Centre on 50 Street. At the scene, three Town of Edson vehicles parked at the back of the Civic Centre were completely engulfed in flames. The Fire Department was able to put the fire out. The fire is deemed suspicious and the RCMP in investigating the matter. Video surveillance of the incident shows two people near the vehicles just prior to the fire.
