Slave Lake, Alberta – (6:00 PM) On March. 21, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Slave Lake RCMP responded to a semi rollover on Highway 754 near kilometer marker 45. Police and Fire Services are on scene where a semi-truck lost control spilling its contents onto the road and surrounding area. The contents, described as contaminated soil are being treated as hazardous, crews are attending to clean up the affected area appropriately.
The driver of the semi did not require medical attention, reporting only minor injury.
Traffic along Highway 754 is presently re-routed around the roll over to allow for emergency crews to work.
Traffic disruption is anticipated for the next several hours while crews tend to the clean up.
