27-year-old Saskatoon charged with aggravated assault following stabbing yesterday afternoon

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – One man has been arrested following a physical altercation that resulted in a stabbing yesterday afternoon.

On March 22, 2023 at around 4:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Saskatchewan Crescent East and 13th Street East for a report of an injured person. Upon arriving, officers learned that a physical altercation had taken place between two persons resulting in multiple stab wounds to a 36-year-old man. A witness to the altercation maintained visual contact on the suspect and was able to identify him to responding officers a short distance away; he was found to be in possession of alcohol and a bladed weapon. The extent to which the suspect and victim knew one another is unknown. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

As a result, a 27-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
