Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is investigating the suspicious death of a female whose body was located beside Whitemud Drive on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Mar. 21, 2023, at approximately 7:55 a.m., EPS Southeast Branch officers responded to the report of a deceased female who was found beside the road on Whitemud Drive eastbound in the area between 17 Street and 34 Street.
On Thursday, Mar. 23, 2023, an autopsy was conducted on the 43-year-old female. The cause of death and manner of death are pending toxicology and further testing.
Homicide Section is leading the investigation.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity, or anyone with dashcam footage of the area between midnight and 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 21, 2023 to please contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
