Morinville, Alberta – Morinville RCMP continue to investigate the Feb. 26, 2022, fatal hit and run collision on Highway 28, 1 km North of the Anthony Henday that tragically killed 19-year-old Edmonton resident Angel Cardinal.
Despite continued investigative efforts, RCMP have been unable to identify those responsible. In an effort to generate more tips, RCMP are providing a more recent picture of Angel taken shortly before her death. Additionally, RCMP wish to speak to anyone that may have information on what brought Angel to Highway 28 on Feb. 26, 2022.

Morinville, Alta. – Morinville RCMP continue to investigate the fatal pedestrian hit and run collision which took the life of 19-year-old Angel Cardinal, of Edmonton.
Despite continued efforts, the RCMP have yet to identify those responsible for this tragic event and continue to seek input from the public. RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who was traveling on Highway 28 near the Anthony Henday on Feb. 26, 2022, between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m..
RCMP would also like to speak to those that knew Angel and who could provide insight on what brought her to Highway 28 on Feb. 26, 2022.

Morinville Alberta – The pedestrian killed in a hit and run collision on Hwy. 28, 1 km North of the Anthony Henday, on Feb. 26, 2022, has been identified as Angel Cardinal (19), of Edmonton. Morinville RCMP continue to investigate this tragic event and are asking for the publics assistance.
RCMP are asking to speak to anyone who was traveling on Hwy. 28 near the Anthony Henday on Feb. 26, 2022, between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. including;
An unknown male who called 911 to report the incident at 5:22 a.m. using a phone calling app.
An unknown female driving a dark coloured vehicle who stopped North of the collision scene.
Morinville RCMP are also looking to speak to individuals that knew or saw Angel and could provide information as to her being in the area that she was found.

Morinville RCMP on scene of potential pedestrian hit and run fatality
Sturgeon Country Alta.- Morinville RCMP are currently on scene of a potential pedestrian hit and run fatality on Hwy 28 1 km North of the Anthony Henday. RCMP anticipate remaining on scene for several hours while they investigate the circumstances of this tragic incident. Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction and RCMP are asking people to avoid the area.
RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident which occurred in the early morning hours.
Information about the deceased will not be released until Next of Kin notification has been completed.
