Blood Reserve, Alberta – On March 25, 2023, at approximately 10:19 a.m., Fort McLeod RCMP and Blood Tribe Police were dispatched to a report of blood on the Healy Bridge, located on Highway 511 near Willow Creek. Officers attended and located a deceased male.
On March 28, 2023, an autopsy was completed on the deceased and the death has been deemed a homicide. The deceased has been identified as a 32-year-old male resident of Lethbridge.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes continue their investigation and are requesting the public’s assistance. They are asking for any dash cam video from Highway 511 near the Healy Bridge, between Highway 509 and Highway 2, on March 25, between the hours of 3 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes investigate suspicious death
Blood Reserve, Alta. – On March 25, 2023, at approximately 10:19 a.m., Fort McLeod RCMP and Blood Tribe Police were dispatched to a report of blood on the Healy Bridge, located on Highway 511 near Willow Creek. It was also reported that there was a body below on the river. Officers attended and located a deceased male.
Alberta RCMP Major Crimes have taken carriage of the investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled for March 28, 2023, at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary.
The investigation continues. An update will be sent when more information becomes available.
