Edmonton, Alberta – Homicide detectives are releasing video and unique clothing descriptions in the Mar. 15 murder of Usama Ibrahinadan, which they have determined is linked to the Mar. 7 murders of Mohamed Fofanah and Mya Abialmouna.
It is believed the murders of Fofanah, Abialmouna and Ibrahinadan were all targeted, and are related. Detectives believe Ibrahinadan was mistaken for one of Fofanah’s close associates who lived in the same building as Ibrahinadan.
Investigators are releasing video of the shooter and two other people of interest in the Ibrahinadan murder:
The video shows a suspect male in a unique black “Hugo” brand sweatsuit and black Yeezy brand shoes discharging a firearm.
Prior to the shooting, the suspect is captured on video with two males, one in a blue “Jeune Studios” brand tracksuit and one in red Adidas track pants and red and white Air Jordan shoes, as shown below.
Distinctive “Jeune Studios” blue tracksuit worn by person of interest seen with the shooter
The blue tracksuit is believed to be a unique Edmonton product made in limited quantities and marketed locally through Instagram. The “Hugo” brand sweatsuit worn by the shooter is also believed to be a fairly rare commodity in Edmonton, sold in only two locations in 2021.
It is not known whether the two people of interest were involved with the shooting, but they clearly know the shooter, with whom they are seen in the video. Investigators would like to speak with these two males, and are asking them, or anyone with information about their identity to come forward and contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
