Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged an 18-year-old male with property crime offences in connection with multiple car prowling incidents in the Riverstone subdivision.

On April 11, 2023 at approximately 3:10 a.m. police responded to a report that male entered a vehicle along Stonecrest Point and was observed entering additional vehicles in the area. Officers attended and located the subject who proceeded to run from police. The male ignored police direction to stop and was subsequently apprehended by Police Service Dog Myke. He sustained dog bites and was treated by EMS on scene. A search incidental to arrest, resulted in the recovery of assorted stolen property including a garage door opener, bank cards, gift cards, change and keys.
Drayden Jeffrey Raymond Jacques, 18, of Lethbridge, is charged with housebreaking and commit theft (for entering an attached garage), four counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts each of possession of stolen property and possession of stolen credit cards.
Following a Judicial Interim Release hearing Jacques was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court May 16, 2023.
Police remind residents to always remove valuables from their vehicles and anyone who observes car prowling or other suspicious activity is asked to call police immediately at 403-328-4444.
