Red Deer, Alberta – On Apr. 16, 2023, at approximately 07:57 p.m., Red Deer RCMP received several driving complaints in relation to a stolen blue Mitsubishi Eclipse driving dangerously in the area of Inglewood. The male driver had collided into a vehicle and a pole before fleeing the scene. RCMP officers located the vehicle and attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop. A short time later the vehicle was found abandoned and the driver fled on foot before being arrested by police.
Lucas Denny, a 28-year-old resident of Red Deer, was arrested and remanded into custody. He is charged with the following offences:
Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of traffickingPossession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $500
Dangerous Driving
Fail to remain at collision scene
Flight from police
Resist Arrest
Fail to comply with demand (drug impaired driving)
Unlawfully possess another’s Identity Documents
Possess ammunition while prohibited from doing so by Order
Drive while unauthorized
