Regina, Saskatchewan – A 27 year-old Regina is facing an Attempted Murder charge following a shooting on April 2, 2023.

Shortly before 3:00 a.m. on April 2, 2023, Police were called to the area of 11th Avenue and Quebec Street for a report of a weapons offence. EMS were on scene with an adult male victim who had been shot and assaulted in a nearby residence The male victim told officers he was in the residence on the 1700 Block of Quebec St., when a group of three males entered the home and assaulted and shot him. The male victim was taken to hospital by EMS and treated for his injuries.
An investigation led by members of our Patrol Support Unit and Online Stolen Property Unit resulted in the arrest of the suspect on April 16, 2023. As a result, 27 year-old Zachary TOMLIN is charged with:
Attempted Murder [CC 239(1)(A.1)]
TOMLIN made his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court on April 17, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
