33-year-old male charged with causing disturbance at a school; “male hiding in a storage closet in one of the classrooms”

Regina, Saskatchewan – A 33 year-old male is facing charges after causing a disturbance at a school on Ramsey Drive, near College Avenue.

On April 18, 2023 at approximately 5:20 p.m., officers were called to the location for a report of a where children were present. The male exited the closet causing a disturbance in the classroom and then locked himself in a nearby washroom.

On-site security assisted officers in accessing the washroom and the male was taken into custody.

As a result of this incident, 33 year-old Phillip SQUIRE is charged with:

Causing a Disturbance [CC 175(1)(A)];

Fail to Comply with Conditions [ CC 145(4)(A)]; and

Breach of Probation [CC 733.1(1)]

SQUIRE appeared on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on April 19, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
