Calgary, Alberta – We are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted on eight outstanding warrants.
At approximately 4 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, we were called to the Shawarma Barlow restaurant, located at 106 Meridian Road N.E., for reports of a break and enter. Upon arrival, officers observed a severely damaged garage door at the property, which is believed to be the point of entry for the suspect. Officers promptly cleared the building and determined that the offender was no longer on scene. Nothing was taken from the restaurant and the motive behind the break and enter remains unknown.
Investigators have since identified the suspect as 40-year-old Justin Taylor HARTLAND. HARTLAND is wanted on warrant for one count of commercial break and enter in relation to this incident, as well as 28 additional charges on seven other warrants for fraud, break and enter, stolen property, and breach of probation related offences.
Despite investigative efforts, officers have been unable to locate HARTLAND and are asking for anyone who may know of his whereabouts to come forward.
HARTLAND is described as 6’3” tall and approximately 210 pounds, with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes.
