Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is looking for witnesses and information after a body was discovered in a Valleyview dumpster late last night.
On Thursday April 20, 2023, around 11:30 p.m., Kamloops RCMP Detachment frontline officers responded to the 1900-block of Curlew Drive in response to the report. Upon arrival, police confirmed the presence of a deceased person in a dumpster between two buildings.
“A police presence remains on scene and in the area while officers work to determine whether the death is suspicious,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.
The investigation is in its very early stages and includes collecting physical evidence, obtaining statements, and seeking witnesses, images, and video that may assist in determining what transpired.
