Grande Prairie, Alberta – Grande Prairie RCMP have arrested a male subsequent to a suspicious sale of firearm complaint.
On Apr. 24, 2023, at approximately 8:57 a.m., Grande Prairie RCMP received a report of a male trying to sell a firearm for well below the perceived value in the area of Grande Prairie. Checks on the firearm revealed it was stolen out of Grande Prairie on April 7.

As a result of the investigation, Brandon Neil (39) a resident of Grande Prairie, has been charged with the following:
-Possession of firearms for the purpose of trafficking.
-Possession of a weapon obtained by the commission of an offence.
-Possession of stolen property under $5000.
-Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
-Weapons trafficking.
Following a release hearing, Brandon was remanded in custody to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Apr. 26, 2023.
