Wabasca, Alberta – On April 14, 2023, at approximately 10:22 p.m., Desmarais RCMP received a call to assist EMS with a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Yellowhead Road. Investigation revealed that the 21-year old female, a resident of Wabasca, was walking on the roadway when she was hit by a pick-up truck. EMS and RCMP provided first aid to the female, however, she succumbed to her injuries.
The RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene.
