Whitecourt, Alberta – On April 26, 2023, Whitecourt RCMP were dispatched to an assault. Upon arrival the male suspect male fled on foot and after a foot pursuit was caught and arrested. During the search incidental to his arrest, police located a loaded 9mm semi-automatic hand gun in the suspects belongings.
Corey Elly White (43) a resident of Whitecourt was charged with:
· Weapons offences (x9)
· Resist arrest
· Assault
White was taken before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for May 3, 2023, at the Whitecourt Court of Justice.
