Airdrie, Alberta – Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie Fire are investigating an arson at the playground at Ecole Edwards Elementary School. On May 2, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Airdrie Fire and RCMP were called to Ecole Edwards Elementary School. Unknown persons had ignited the rubber surface beneath the school’s playground equipment. The resulting fire damaged the playground equipment.
Police and Fire are no longer on scene. The playground has been closed.
Police are asking anyone in the area with residential video surveillance or dash cam footage to contact them at 403-945-7267.
