“In the two hours that police officers were conducting their speed watch, they issued 21 violation tickets to drivers going 25 km/h or more over the posted speed limit of 50 km/h. Our message to drivers is that the roadway is a shared space and we need to make sure we’re keeping the safety of everyone in mind. One way to do this is to make sure you’re staying within the posted speed limit,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
